Now đŠđģâđģ
Currently, I am designing, digitizing, and modernizing the Global Commercial Service product experience at American Express. Outside of work, I am the Co-Founder of The Collective Studio, where I volunteer my time to give back to the design community through speaker events, design sprints and collaborative workshops.
Previously, I did product design at Nailerz (a startup for on-demand nail services in the NYC area), and worked as a Management Information System Analyst at Harry Winston, where I assisted in the design, configuration, and deployment of the latest software products. In my professional career, I've accumulated over eight years of experience in cross-disciplinary sectors, from financial services, information technology, retail, and supply chain management.

Career Transition đž
In 2019, I enrolled in a UX design & coding boot camp with Bloc. After 9 months of sleepless nights, I was burnt out while studying part time and working full time as a product development analyst. I took some time off to reflect on my journey to see if I wanted to continue in pursuing UX design.
Utilizing the skills that I learned through the bootcamp, I decided to restart my career transition in November 2020, joining online communities to network with other design professionals during the pandemic. In the process, I met the founder of The Collective Studio, whom I've formed a partnership as co-founder with our common goals of educating aspiring UX designers through design sprint workshops.
Competitions & Hackathons đ
To practice UX design, I participated in several hackathons and an entrepreneurial startup competition. Below are some of my accolades from these events:
đ Finalist - 2021 Adobe Creative Jam for Design Professionals
đ Second place - Women & Tech, Zahn Innovation Center Incubator Startup Competition
Workshop Facilitation đī¸
Shortly after joining the The Collective Studio, I took responsibility for leading workshop facilitation. Within six months, I facilitated over twenty workshops with students, clients and members of The Collective Studio - and in doing so, uncovered my passion for educating newcomers to the world of user experience design.
My lessons đĨ
Despite dropping out of the design bootcamp, I learned many valuable lessons and came to realize my passion and dedication to the field of user experience design. Failure is just one of the many steps you will take before ascending the golden throne of success! đ
